ILINX CAPTURE FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES

Injecting Information into your Processes during your Transactions
ILINX Capture was specifically designed to be used in environments where the end-user’s job is customer facing—where scanning is not the worker’s primary responsibility, but necessary for getting documentation into the business process immediately.
It’s the optimal application for a bank teller who is processing a new account opening form, an agent or broker who is submitting a Power of Attorney document, or a loan officer working an auto loan. In each case, ILINX Capture gives the individual the ability to inject information into your existing systems as quickly and simply as possible, with minimal training, without jeopardizing necessary functionality.

Easily Configurable, ILINX Capture is the Ultimate in Flexible Capture

The true advantage of ILINX Capture is its flexibility. It can be used for both for high volume production capture, or easily customized based on a worker’s specific job function. ILINX Capture is easily configured and managed centrally so updates to work type can be changed quickly and efficiently. The server manager allows a central administrator to set user privileges, encryption and security.

Improved Business Process Scenerios

  • Based on user rights, a branch VP uses ILINX Capture to separate work required for that day and send to the centralized location.
  • An agent/broker uses ILINX Capture to submit a delegation form directly from his/her office. Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), data is extracted and sent to a team at headquarters which completes classification, validation, and extraction.
  • A loan application and all of its supporting documentation is placed in a scanner as one batch, ingested by ILINX Capture, where then the application, appraisal, bank statements, W2’s, etc can be manually or automatically separated.  Once each document type is determined by ILINX Capture, they are released to a repository or work flow to continue the process progression. This batch of loan documents is submitted to an underwriter within minutes of that same day.
  • Based on a change of critical information, crucial delegation forms are updated within minutes to ensure a proper trade execution is completed. Fines or fees associated with an improper trade have been eliminated.
Financial Services Capture Use Case
A large Financial Services company receives and processes enough mail to cover 20+ zip codes. They also have nearly 60 branches throughout the country. Many of the documents they receive are time sensitive and have service level agreements attached to their processing. Because this company deals with wealth management, having the most recent delegation forms and correct agent/broker information is regulated by Sarbanes-Oxley.

Its home-grown branch application is hard to maintain and update due to the central administration and location of its IT organization. This makes it difficult to get mission-critical documents in to the system in a manner that is most consistent with its core infrastructure because a resource is required to go on site to update this application at each site.

By deploying ILINX Capture, this organization is able to extend the use of its existing scanners and MFPs so that remote locations can submit documents directly in to the corporate workflow. The application is customized so that the user at the branch only sees the document types he/she handles and only the functions he/she needs to submit the work in to the central indexing center.

When the branch worker submits a work item, a confirmation is sent back to their email address to ensure the document is being processed. This company is working on extending the functionality to their customer facing website so their customers can also submit and add attachments to their web submissions.

The company estimates it saves over $400,000 annually in IT expenses in supporting its own application as well as increased interest earnings on trades by 200%. They have minimized new employee training, exceeded service levels and plan to expand this to other mission critical areas in the near future.
